The Chalet

17th century restored farmhouse – 5 bedrooms/bathrooms – Carinthian ski resorts – touring & hiking all year

The Chalet is truly unique due to the breath-taking position in total tranquillity, the historic setting, the carefully restored original architecture, and the spacious interiors with the unassumingly elegant cosiness of the design by Castello di Reschio®.

There is no better place to recover and relax, to enjoy peace and nature and at the same time be very active - away from it all.

Expert local artisans recently completed a sophisticated two-year restoration project designed by Castello di Reschio® converting a 300 year old alpine farm into a unique private holiday retreat. The ancient timber façade was painstakingly restored; the original roof construction was dismantled and repositioned with the old wooden nails maintaining this old tradition. New life and a new destination was given to this historic farm creating The Chalet.

This 17th century farmstead originally consisted of the main Farmhouse, the Mill, the great Hay Barn, the classic Grain Storage, and the charming Bathhouse. These buildings remain until today in unchanged position.
The Chalet offers on three levels 5 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, an imposing loft-study adjacent to the master-suite, a fully equipped kitchen, larder, laundry, ski cellar and a spacious dining & living area with an authentic plastered stove and under-floor heating throughout the house. The protected balconies on all three levels add specific charm and are ideal for a siesta summer and winter, or for watching the sunset over the mountain range in the purest of air.

The Chalet is surrounded by the major ski resorts of Turracher Höhe, Bad Kleinkirchheim, St. Oswald and Hochrindl with extensive langlauf tracks, the well-known thermal spas and the 18-hole championship golf course by Don Harradine – all within easy reach of 15 and 20 minutes. The region is renowned for deep-snow skiing, touring and hiking - a refuge for all seasons.
